Serial number stamped on bottom of the plate. The two stubs, about .5 inch, on each side of the reflector spindle are missing their smooth metal caps. These caps push the reflector into the rotors from the ramps on the back of the reflector. These caps were not available, so I used nylon bushings as a temporary fix.

Another view of the stubs which are used to push the reflector into the rotors. These look rough, but are normally covered by a smooth cap which extends them another 1/8 inch. The rough metal caused some scoring on the reflector ramps. Also, the reflector was not pushed against the rotors enough to make a good electrical connection.

Directly above the reflector spindle, at the top of the black metal frame, there is a hole where the reflector guide pin should be installed. This part was missing, but supplied by Dan and Tom Perera, along with the other missing parts.

Light-green letter shade stored in lid directly above the keys caused the brown corrosion on the keys. The keys on the right have been cleaned. Also, the bottom of the key shafts and springs are cleaned.

The rear of the plugboard is in very good condition but the corrosion caused poor connections and the springs were weakened. Each spring was carefully expanded and cleaned to restore pressure on back plates.

Tall light bulbs are still installed, which will be replaced by flattened Enigma-style bulbs.

I added a quick connect battery box which holds 2 AA batteries. The 3 volts is less than the 4.5 volt original battery, but supplies plenty of power and keeps the light bulbs lasting longer.

The 3 rotor advancement pawls were gummed up and very slow to retract. This means you have to wait a few seconds between each key press for the pawls to move to the correct position. These were not removed but each spring was cleaned and oiled.
