The jagged edge of the broken laminate was slightly beveled and glued down to prevent future breakage. Almost all of the varnish was missing and the wood was extremely dry.

Rear plate engraved with serial number. Leather handle in fairly good shape, but very dry and hard with a little fraying on the left side.
